How to drive people from the North, South, East and everything in between to explore all the West has to offer? There’s no better way than via their stomachs. With multiple collaborations already under our belt, we were tasked by The City of Parramatta Council to concept and execute their winter campaign, showcasing the diverse mosaic of food and stories available in the area. The number one rule? Ensure diversity, community, and FOOD remain front and centre.

The Buffet Approach

Our creative for this campaign anchored on finding an enigmatic “host” within the Buffet network, who could not only guide the audience through an edible feast in Parramatta and its surrounding suburbs, but entertain and educate at the same time.

Our star was found in Parramatta Local, food writer and DJ Andrew Levins. We worked with Andrew to script a campaign led by a video series that broke down the major draw cards of Parramatta’s food scene into four distinct offerings – By Night, Luxe Eats, Street Food and Cafe Culture.

This multi-pronged approach presented a well-rounded, totally diverse, utterly delicious and ultimately very entertaining portrait of the Parramatta Local Government Area, as enticing as ever to those yet to experience it. Lead video content was bolstered by a full suite of enigmatic stills, blog posts, graphic design and full campaign content plan to see the food tour through to seamless execution.

Our creative treatment was bold, colourful, full of energy and warmth, underscored by true local storytelling – the mix we love to see.
